- Responsibility: The parcel recipient (that is you, the customer) will be responsible for paying these fees. These charges are not included in our shipping rates and are payable by the recipient when the parcel reaches the USA.
- Payment: We can only use a DHL courier service for sending parcels to the USA. DHL may contact you directly to collect payment of any customs duties, import taxes and administration charges before or upon delivery.
- Refusal: If the package for your order is refused due to non-payment of customs fees, the shipping costs and return fees will be deducted from your refund.
- We are no longer able to offer a tracked post service using NZ Post as they have different requirements for collection and payment of the USA customs duty which we are unable to use. A DHL courier is the only shipping option for USA delivery.
NOTE: We are unable to advise the amount of duty, taxes or administration charges that you will be charged. The tariff and other charges are set by the USA customs department and DHL.
As at February 2026 the tariff rate is 15%. However this may change at any time and without warning so please ask if you have any queries. Email: info@newzealandmerinoandfabrics.com or use the chat box online.
